JNU held its first College Students' Career Experience Week from Nov. 12 to 17 online and outdoors on five campuses in Guangzhou, Shenzhen and Zhuhai. The large-scale activity, sponsored by JNU's Student Employment Guidance Center, was hosted by the School of Journalism and Communication and the School of Information Science and Technology.
The target group was all freshmen in the 2020 class, and the theme was Exploring Career Journey and Planning Future Life. A wealth of career planning activities was presented in four areas and 13 checkpoints focused on self-exploration, off-campus exploration, decision-making and construction of the future, helping students evaluate their career development characteristics in practice and realize self-awareness and self-improvement.

The week was a critical part of career guidance for students. JNU has been actively exploring and building a four-year career education structure; forming an employment guidance system of adaptation and planning in the first year; learning and practice in the second; innovation and improvement in the third; and employment and development in the fourth. This system helps undergraduates better adapt to university life and conduct their career exploration and practice step by step.
