JNU held its 47th College Sports Meeting on Nov. 26 and 27.  JNU Party Secretary Lin Rupeng opened the event, and President Song Xianzhong delivered a speech based on JNU's establishment double first-class and high-level university, , urging students to exercise more to become qualified JNUers.

In the opening ceremony, on the theme First-Rate University, First-Rate Physical Education, staff representatives from various schools ran as pioneers to motivate morale.

The opening ceremony featured performances by Sun Moon Lake, an art troupe from JNU's Zhuhai campus; the Chinese Martial Arts and Dragon and Lion Dance Training Base; the JNU Wushu Team, and JNU Martial Arts.

Teams from the School of Physical Education and School of Economics won the men's and women's championships, respectively. The team from the School of Clinical Medicine (First Affiliated Hospital of JNU) ranked first among faculty groups.

The event set new records in men's shotput (high-level group), men's shotput (non-professional group) and men's 800-meter race (non-professional group).
