Neuron, an international journal of neuroscience (Impact factor: 14.4) published the joint research results of Prof. Ren Chaoran and Prof. Su Guohui of JNU's Guangdong-Hongkong-Macao Institute of CNS Regeneration and Li Haohong of Huazhong University of Science and Technology online on Nov. 19. The research paper, A Visual Circuit Related to the Nucleus Reuniens for the Spatial-Memory-Promoting Effects of Light Treatment, elucidates the neural loop mechanism of long-term phototherapy intervention to enhance spatial memory.

This paper's co-first authors are Huang Xiaodan, a postdoctoral fellow at JNU; Huang Lu, a JNU researcher, and Dr. Wang Pengcheng of Li’s research group. Ren (lead contact), Li and Su are the corresponding authors.
