A JNU project won first prize in the 13th Chinese Collegial Association for Visual Art Awards, presented during activities in Chengdu, Sichuan Province, on Oct. 28. promoting 2019-2020 academic achievements. The report, Investigation and Development of Film and Television Industry in Guangdong Province (Policy Research Office, Guangdong Provincial Committee), was written by Prof. Li Xuewu's team from Jinan University.
Visual Art Award
Commissioned by the Guangdong Provincial Committee's Policy Research Office, the 1000,000-word report consists of four major parts, focusing on film and television production, shooting bases, post-production, and production of film and television derivatives. It analyzes the current situation of the film and television industry and supportive policies in Guangdong. The paper also probes development trends in the industry, both domestic and foreign, and makes nine policy suggestions for the industry in Guangdong.
This report was reviewed by experts from government business departments, university scientific research institutions and leading industry research institutions, in November 2019. The reviewers unanimously affirmed that the report had a clear theme, perfect structure, sufficient data, depth of content and rigorous writing, which has important reference significance and strong practicality.
The research group consisted of Prof. Li Xuewu from JNU's College of Arts, Associate Prof. Zheng Huanzhao of the School of Literature and Ren Dailin, director of the College of Arts Discipline Office.
