The Huang Ailian Nursing Education Development Fund was established in Guangzhou on Nov. 6 to motivate excellent nursing students, help nurses complete their academic pursuits and promote the development of nursing education.

The fund is financed by a 100,000 RMB donation from Prof. Huang, 105, founder of JNU's nursing department.

JNJU Vice President Ye Wencai said the fund would closely follow the themes of the times, help cultivate outstanding nurses and serve the strategic needs of Healthy China.

Xu Anding, president of the First Affiliated Hospital of JNU, read out the list of the fund's management committee and judging panel.  At the same time, leaders attending the meeting jointly opened the fund.

At the donation ceremony, Huang, as the fund's sponsor, donated 100,000 yuan to its start-up. He Min of Guangzhou Jida Meisu Biotechnology Co., Ltd., and Liu Hongyu, vice president of JNU's Education Development Foundation and chairman of Guangzhou Hefeng Health Industry Co., Ltd., donated a total of 100,000 yuan.

This year Huang was awarded the title 20th Century’s Outstanding Member of Union Medical College Nursing Team. She encourages everyone to participate actively in the fund for the cultivation of qualified nurses and the development of nursing enterprise in China.
