The 13th National Conference of Undergraduate Innovation and Entrepreneurship, sponsored by the Ministry of Education, was held at Chongqing University from Oct. 30 to Nov. 1. Six JNU projects were on the list, 《and four received Favorite Project and Most Creative Project awards. This was the eighth consecutive year JNU had the most prize-winners nationwide.
JNU was awarded the Excellent Organization Award by the conference's organizing committee, and three project instructors, -- Fang Junbin and Bai Weibin from the College of Science and Engineering, and Wu Zheng from the College of Life Science and Technology -- were rated Excellent Instructors.
Among the three Favorite Projects, Hospital Epidemic Prevention and Inspection Robot Based on Visible Light Positioning was submitted by students from the College of Science and Engineering, including Wei Zhanhang, Hu Xubin, Zhang Shan, Yang Ganhong and Yang Yi, instructed by Fang; it also won Most Creative Project. Research on Ultrasonic Ripening Technology and Color Protection of Blueberry Wine was submitted by Liu Chuqi, Zhao Yaqi, Wu Kaiyun, Wu Yuting, Shi Qianwen, Li Anqi and Li Xusheng from the College of Science and Engineering, instructed by Bai. Research on the Effect of hUMSCs Exocrine Protein on Corneal Opacity was submitted by students from the College of Life Science and Technology and the College of Basic Medical Sciences: Tong Ziyang, Xu Liling, Shan Yingyi, Wang Yingwei, instructed by Wu Zheng.

On the theme Pooling the Wisdom of Youth and Building a Bright Future, the conference attracted 875 national innovation and entrepreneurship entriies from more than 300 colleges and universities. Among them were 378 academic papers, 377 experience exchange programs, and 120 business promotion projects. After review by experts, on-site defense, roadshows, display panels and network voting, 20 academic papers were selected as Excellent Papers, 21 projects as Most Creative Projects, 20 programs as Favorite Projects and 10 projects as Best Start-Up Projects. Fifteen programs won the Excellent Organization Award, and their instructors were named Excellent Instructors.
