Two works from Jinan University have been selected by the National Achievements Library of Philosophy and Social Sciences, according to a list released by the National Office for Philosophy and Social Sciences. They are Visual Rhetoric, by Prof. Liu Tao of the School of Journalism and Communication, and Sliver Coins and War: Wartime Financial Operations of the Qing Court, by Prof. Liu Zenghe of the College of Liberal Arts. JNU was among the top eight universities, a university record.
Seventy-eight works from 56 universities and institutions were eligible for the 2019 library.

The achievements selected embody the most advanced standard in related fields in China's philosophy and social sciences research community and are essential to discipline evaluation.
