Prof. Wu Jianguo of JNU's Institute of Medical Microbiology and his team have published their research findings online in Advanced Science, an internationally renowned academic journal. Their research has found a key suppressor of aging-associated diseases and the aging process to prolong lifespan. The paper, titled MYSM1 suppresses cellular senescence and the aging process to prolong lifespan, was written by doctoral student Tian Mingfu, the first author, and Wu, the corresponding author. This research is supported by the key program of National Natural Science Foundation of China (Grant No. 81730061) and the general program (Grant No. 81471942).
