At a May 20 donation ceremony on JNU's Zhuhai campus, Luo Ding, chairman of the Guangdong Jijiao Group, who had previously donated 300,000 masks and other suppliers to his alma mater, once again donated 100,000 disposable medical masks to the school's epidemic prevention and control work : 50,000 for Zhuhai campus and 5,000 for Panyu campus.

JNU Vice President Zhang Hong expressed the school's gratitude to Luo and issued him a donation certificate. Zhang and Luo then discussed anti-epidemic cooperation, alumni development, and industry-university-research cooperation.

Zhang said JNU alumni around the world had worked together and donated needed medical supplies to their alma mater, personifying the school motto loyalty, sincerity, integrity and respect.  As one of those alumni, Luo previously donated 3000,00 masks and other medical supplies, fully embodying his devotion to the school and his social responsibility as an entrepreneur.
Since the outbreak of Covid-19, Luo said, he and other JNU alumni have been concerned about the university. He called for donations of desperately needed medical and other supplies to JNU, hoping JNUers could do their school a good turn and support it to win the battle.

A member of the 2016 class in the School of Management's Executive MBA program,  Luo is a member of the standing committee of the Youth Committee of the All-China Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese; vice chairman of the Youth Committee of the Guangdong Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese; vice president of JNU's Education Development Foundation, and president of EMBA Union.

He is also a consultant to the China General Chamber of Commerce in Los Angeles; an advisor to the Thai Chinese Youth Chamber of Commerce; and director of the Guangdong Institute of Electronics. He was named a National Advanced Individual of Returned Overseas Chinese in 2018 and Provincial Advanced Individual of Returned Overseas Chinese in Guangdong in 2019.
