University delegation from Argentina visits JNU

The chief of the International Office of Cordoba National University in Argentina led a delegation to JNU from Nov. 25 to 27.
In May the two schools established a Confucius Institute at the University of Cordoba -- JNU's second overseas. The first was jointly built with Rhodes University in South Africa.
The first council meeting of the Confucius Institute at the University of Cordoba was held at JNU on Nov. 27.  Vice President Zhang Hong exchanged ideas with the council members about the Confucius Institute’s opening ceremony and future work. Zhang said that JNU would strongly support the construction of the Confucius Institute at Cordoba. And that  he hoped the two universities would enhance cooperation on exchanges, academic communication and scientific research, beginning with its establishment.

Representatives of JNU's School of International Relations, International School and College of Economics met with the deputation that afternoon. The delegation also visited the History Museum, the College of Chinese Language and Culture, the Institute of Environment and Climate, the University of Birmingham Joint Institute at JNU and the School of Translation.
