JUN has had 38 projects approved in the list of 2019 National Social Science Fund annual projects, including six key projects, 27 general projects and five youth projects, ranking 10th among universities nationwide. Its number of key projects ranked fifth and general projects fourth in the universities nationwide, and both ranked first in Guangdong. More than 30 JNU projects have been approved every year since 2016, and JNU has been among the top 20 universities nationwide for four consecutive years.

A total of 4,627 projects were approved in China this year, with a national average of 15.7%, an increase of 0.5 percent over last year. JNU’s approval rate is 25%, 9.3 percent higher than the national average.
