The transition meeting of the Women's Medical Doctor Association of Guangdong and the first general assembly of the fifth session were held in Guangzhou on March 28. Dr. Yin Lianghong, a member of the grassroots committee of the Zhigong Party at JNU and chief physician in the nephrology department of JNU's First Affiliated Hospitaly, and Dr. Liu Fanna, the associate chief physician, were elected directors.  Yin also won the second Great Female Physician in Southern Guangdong title.

Dr. Yao Zhibing, president of the Guangdong Medical Doctors Association, spoke at the meeting. With 260 representatives from all over the province attending, the meeting also amended the constitution of the Women's Medical Doctor Association and elected members of its fifth council.
