Collaborative research by Lan Yu, a researcher in JNU's Faculty of Medical Science; Liu Bing, a researcher and Chair Professor of JNU in the Fifth Medical Center of the People's Liberation Army General Hospital; and Tang Fuchou, a researcher in Peking University's School of Life Sciences, has made important progress in hematopoietic stem cell development. Their research paper Embryonic endothelial evolution towards first hematopoietic stem cells revealed by single-cell transcriptomic and functional analyses was published online on March 20 by Cell Research(Bio1, IF=17.8), with all three as co-corresponding authors.
The paper's first authors are Dr. Hou Siyuan of JNU’s Postdoctoral Station of Integrated Traditional Chinese and Western medicine of JNU; Dr. Li Zongcheng and Ni Yanli of the Fifth Medical Center of the People's Liberation Army General Hospital; Dr. Zheng Xiaona of the Military Medical Research Institute of the Academy of Military Sciences; and Dr. Gao Yun and Dr. Dong Ji of Peking University's School of Life Sciences. The research was supported by the Ministry of Science and Technology's National Key Research and Development Program, the National Natural Science Foundation of China, and the Guangdong Department of Science and Technology.
