Since the outbreak of Covid-19, JNU has received many consoling letters from its partner universities abroad, expressing their full confidence in their cooperation with JNU and their firm support and good wishes to JNU teachers and students.
David Eastwood, president of the University of Birmingham in Britain, sent a letter expressing his solidarity and support.”

Prof. Fabio Pollice, president of the University of Salento in Italy, sent a letter in which he praised the Chinese national spirit and nature as reflected in the fight against Covid-19 He also expressed his heartfelt hope that the epidemic would go away soon so that in-depth cooperation could continue.

Hideo Oamoto, president of Tokyo Keizai University, extended his sincere greetings and best wishes to JNU teachers and students. He acknowledged the Chinese government's effective measures against the epidemic and highly praised the Chinese people's inherent spirit in fighting Covid-19.

Kim Woo-Seung, president of Hanyang University in South Korea, wrote: We hope that China and South Korea can further unite in this difficult time and overcome this test. He added that Hanyang's cooperation with JNU would steadily continue.

Other letters came from Dr. Ramon P. Yanzi Ferreira, vice president of the National University of Córdoba, Argentina, which is cooperating with JNU to build a Confucius Institute, and Prof. Patrice Mwepu, foreign director of the Confucius Institute at Rhodes University, in South Africa.
