JNU has received letters from Rhodes University in South Africa and National University of Cordoba in Argentina, its partners in jointly established Confucius Institutes, expressing positive comments on China's effective measures to combat the Covid-19 epidemic and its progress in prevention and control.

Dr. Ramon P. Yanzi Ferreira, vice president of the National University of Cordoba, sent JNU a letter on Feb. 13 in response to the outbreak. He extended his sincerest regards to JNU, his university's close partner in educational cooperation.

Yanzi recognized China's comprehensive and rigorous epidemic prevention and control measures. He expressed firm belief that under the leadership of the Chinese government and the united efforts of Chinese people, the country will be able to curb the spread of the virus effectively and win the battle against the epidemic.

On March 5, Prof. Patrice Mwepu, foreign director of the Confucius Institute at Rhodes University, expressed deep concern for JNU faculty members and students who have suffered in the epidemic.
