On the theme of patriotism and dreams, the JNU-Zhang Yuantian Chinese Culture Communication Competition Award Ceremony was held on Dec. 14 in the auditorium of JNU's Shipai campus. This award ceremony honors outstanding students, associations and projects in the Chinese Culture Talent Competition, the Chinese Culture Ambassador of the Year, and the Chinese Excellent Traditional Culture Association and Excellent Project Cultivation Plan.
JNU Party Secretary Lin Rupeng, Vice President Rao Min and Dr. Zhang Yuantian, an alumnus who is chairman of the Hoarded Fortune Group, attended.
For the 113th anniversary of JNU's founding, Zhang, donated 11.5 million yuan to JNU on Nov. 16. At the award ceremony, he donated 10 million more to establish the JNU-Zhang Yuantian Chinese Culture Communication Foundation, support a series of activities for the competition, and encourage JNU students at home and abroad to actively carry forward outstanding traditional Chinese culture.
During the ceremony, Lin reviewed the development of Chinese culture month activities in the last two months and strongly affirmed JNU students' vibrant practice of spreading and promoting classic Chinese traditional culture.
