The finals of the 34th Northern Light campus singing competition, hosted by the JNU Party Committee's Student Work Department and organized by the Students' 'Association, kicked off in the auditorium of JNU's main campus on the evening of Dec. 1. Vice President Rao Min attended and spoke. With the theme of Lighting JNU and Singing to the New Era, the competition reflected the spirit of contemporary JNU students by the singing to fulfill the mission of the times. More than 1,600 teachers and students attended to hear the 18 competitors from the five campuses of JNU.

Zhu Xianxi sang Fish, affectionately expressing her feelings about urban changes. Yang Che and Leng Zhiwei sang You Makes a Vibrant Life and Knocking on Heaven's Door, stimulating audience enthusiasm. Liu Minghong sang Great Boat in a gentle voice, leading the audience across a sea of stars. In the end, Cai Yifei won the competition.
