The passing rate of graduates of JNU's clinical medicine major reached 90.36% in the 2018 national practitioners' exam, according to the latest statistics from the National Medical Examination Center. This rate is nearly 6% higher than that of the universities in the 211 Project and slightly higher than the average passing rate of 90.16% among universities in the 985 Project.

In 40 years of development, JNU's clinical medicine major has become a distinctive specialty, featuring the diverse teaching of students at home and abroad and the coexistence of teaching in Chinese and English. It boasts the integration of international culture, a scientific evaluation system and widely recognized quality of training. It aims to train medical talents from mainland China, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan, as well as overseas Chinese medical talents.
In the national clinical skill competition for medical students, JNU's clinical medicine professional team has won first prize in South China the national clinical skill competition and the second and third prizes in the national finals many times. At present, the clinical medicine discipline has become a first-level M.D. program in basic medicine and clinical medicine. According to the latest statistics, JNU's clinical medicine discipline has entered the top 5‰ of ESI in the world. It has been an important part of JNU's biomedical discipline and a national double first-class construction discipline.
