The Namyue Group donated 5 million yuan to JNU on Oct. 17 to establish the Namyue Scholarship for Excellent Macao Students. The donation ceremony was held in the JNU alumni building.

In Macao, nearly 80 percent of all doctors, 3,000 civil servants, 80 percent of media professionals and more than 40 percent of financial professionals graduated from JNU.  The university's party secretary, Lin Rupeng, said JNU had made important contributions to cultivating talents and maintaining prosperity and stability in Macao.  JNU has cultivated a pool of more than 20,000 high-quality talents for Macao, and statistics show there is an average of one JNUer in every six Macao families.

Zhou Xingting, chairman of the Namyue Group, expressed great appreciation for JNU's contributions and warmly congratulated JNU on its upcoming 113th anniversary.

The Namyue Scholarship for Excellent Macao Students is to be given over 10 years, from 2019 to 2028, 500,000 yuan a year, to outstanding full-time undergraduate and graduate students from Macao studying at JNU. The scholarship creates more favorable conditions for Macao students' personal growth and development by supporting excellent students, carrying out practical activities, launching public welfare activities, and providing internship and employment opportunities.
