When JNU faculty members and students began the new semester on Aug. 27, university officials, including those from the Office of Academic Affairs, the Office of Logistics Service and the management committee of each campus, led teams to inspect teaching conditions. JNU Party Secretary Lin Rupeng, Deputy Party Secretary Xia Quan, and Vice Presidents Rao Min, Ye Wencai and Zhang Hong visited the Shipai Campus. President Song Xianzhong and Vice President Zhang Ronghua visited the Panyu Campus, and Vice President Liu Jiesheng visited the Zhuhai Campus.

School leaders inspected the attendance rate, curriculum arrangement, use of teaching materials and class status of the first class in the new semester. The inspection found that teachers reported for duty on schedule and students returned to school on time; the classroom atmosphere was lively on each campus; students actively interacted with teachers; the attendance rate was good; and teaching operated in an orderly manner.

School leaders said all JNU administrative departments and teaching units should fully implement the basic requirements of talent training in higher education; pay attention to the educational laws and principles; and constantly make reforms to further improve teaching quality.
