President Song Xianzhong and his delegation unveiled a plaque for JNU's affiliated hospital in Linzhi, Tibet, during a visit from June 12 to 14. They greeted JNU graduates working there as employees and volunteers and visited alumni enterprises.
On June 13, the unveiling ceremony of the Affiliated Linzhi Hospital of JNU was held in Linzhi People's Hospital. In attendance were authorities of the Party Committee of the Tibet Autonomous Region; Liu Yeqiang, a member of the Standing Committee of the Linzhi Municipal Committee and minister of its Organization Department; leaders of the Linzhi Municipal People's Hospital and its department directors and head nurses; and all the students in JNU's advanced seminar in clinical medicine and nursing in Linzhi.
With a superlative talent pool and medical level, JNU has sent medical personnel, experts, interviewers and volunteers to Linzhi several times in recent years, forging a close relationship with the latter, Song said. JNU remains committed to providing enormous support for the hospital's construction and advancement, he said, making more contributions to health and medical and health services in Linzhi.
Linzhi continues to work closely with JNU and other universities in Guangdong in terms of regulated management, improved service principles, high-level medical qualities and ensured medical safety, Liu said, helping build Linzhi Hospital into one with high-standard medical management and service, discipline distributions, and specialty development.”
At the ceremony, a promotional video for Linzhi People's Hospital was shown, and the documents related to jointly building the hospital were exchanged. Admission letters were issued to the representatives of students enrolled in the Jinan-Linzhi advanced training class of clinical medicine and nursing, which started just after the ceremony.
On June 13, Song met with JNU graduates and volunteers at the hospital at the Organization Department of the Linzhi Municipal Party Committee. Attending were Liu; Tashi Norbu, the committee's executive vice minister; eight JNU graduates, and one volunteer.
On June 14, Song discussed Medog County's tourism planning with Wen Wudui of Dayhello Tourism Holding Group and visited alumni enterprises. He asked the enterprises to give more support to JNU medical staff and graduates at Linzhi People's Hospital and keep the Jinan spirit of loyalty, sincerity, integrity and respect alive in Linzhi.
