 The 10th University Games of Guangdong ended on May 31. JNU athletes won 74 medals, including 29 gold, 25 silver and 20 bronze. JNU's total number of gold medals ranks second among regular higher educational institutions. JNU also won first prize in the total score of the first division, second prize in the total score of group B of the second division, and third prize in group A of the second division.
JNU's sports delegation consisted of roughly 300 people, of whom 236 student athletes competed in 10 different events. The delegation was honored with the Sportsmanship Award, and JNU athletes broke three records of the University Games in track and field events. Lv Zhiwei broke the triple jump record of group B in the second division with a jump of 16.75 meters, and Lv Yanfang broke the 100-meter and 200-meter event records in the first division, at 11.96 seconds and 24.68 seconds respectively. Thirteen JNU articles won awards at the Physical Education Scientific Congress.
