On May 19, the 18th JNU International Culture Gala was held in the cultural square of JNU's Panyu Campus. More than 3,000 teachers and students from China and abroad shared the cultural feast.
The gala's theme was to link China with foreign countries, connect the East to the West, and build a community with a shared future for mankind. Through the international cooking competition, cultural booths, stage performances and food court, it brought together characteristic cultures from countries and regions on five continents. The activity aimed to encourage exchanges and contacts between Chinese and foreign students; demonstrated JNU's educational mission and characteristics of education for overseas Chinese students; and promoted the construction of campus culture.
Stage performances
Focused on the history of different countries' currencies, with the themed cartoon image Panda Nannan, it vividly showed the revolution and progress of the world economy.
Students from 29 countries and regions gave their distinctive cultural performances in the cultural booths, allowing participants to experience cultural diversity.
