JNU's fifth Host Competition and Video Dubbing Competition, sponsored by the Publicity Department of JNU'
s CPC Party Committee and co-organized by the JNU radio station, was held at Zeng Xianzi Science Museum on May 15. Contestants in the host group competed in two rounds with five sections, including self-introduction, simulated presiding, unexpected process, improvisation and a talent show. Those in the dubbing competition took turns performing video dubbing within four minutes.
The dubbing competition, based on the host competition, was new this year, with two champions. Jiang Wanting and Jiang Yupei won the championship in the host and dubbing groups, respectively.

In addition, c Feng Yifei and Han Yijing won second and third prizes in the host competition; Cao Xuan and Xiao Qinzuo won second and third prizes in the dubbing competition; and Feng Yifei and Jiang Yupei won the Popularity Award in the host competition and the dubbing competition, respectively.

In the dubbing competition, competitors stand on the right of the stage to dub video clips on the big screen, fully testing their dubbing skills and mental preparedness. In the dubbing of such works as Frozen and Crayon Shin-chan, Jiang Yupei, playing multiple roles in the same clip, won booming applause from the audience with smooth shifts in tone and vivid imitation.

The host competition is open to students on JNU's five campuses and partner schools in Guangdong, with 90 signed up from JNU's main, Panyu and Zhuhai campuses, as well as schools including South China Agricultural University, Guangdong University of Technology, Guangzhou Sport University, Neusoft Institute Guangdong and Zhuhai Art College. Participants came from such majors as broadcasting and hosting, radio and television, accounting, business administration, journalism, translation, software engineering, and international economics and trade.

As the earliest and most enduring school hosting competition, the Host Competition of Jinan University, is a brand activity of JNU's radio station, a student organization directly affiliated with the Publicity Department of JNU's CPC Party Committee. It has spotted and cultivated many excellent student moderators.
