A delegation led by JNU Vice President Zhang Ronghua visited Brazil, Chile and Argentina from April 22 to May 2, exchanging ideas and signing cooperation agreements with several universities in the three countries. The delegation also visited embassies, consulates, overseas Chinese communities, schools, media and other institutions. In addition, the delegates discussed further cooperation with relevant representatives and held several recruiting promotions and consultations.
On April 24, the group signed an exchange agreement with the University of Sao Paulo, Brazil, and discussed further exchanges and cooperation with its Center for International Politics and Economics and Department of Oriental Languages. The University of Sao Paulo has set up a special fund to encourage professors to carry out exchanges and cooperation with Chinese universities.

On April 25, the delegation signed an exchange agreement with Universidad de La Frontera.
On April 26, the delegation visited the University of Chile, which will send a group of professors to JNU in June to discuss cooperation with its Astronomical and Solar Research Group. The two universities agreed to exchange students next spring.
On April 29, the team visited National University of Cordoba, Argentina. The two parties agreed to construct a Confucius Institute jointly.

The team also visited the Cantonese Fellow Townsman Association in Brazil, the Chile-Chinese Benevolent Association in Chile and the Chinese Entrepreneurs Association in Argentina, renewing overseas enrollment cooperation agreements and making enrollment presentations. The delegation also visited the Chinese embassies in these countries.
