The Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Osteoarticular Disease Research Center League was founded in the First Affiliated Hospital of JNU on March 15th. Lin Rupeng, secretary of JNU's Party Committee, and Wu Shaolin, president of the Guangdong Medical Doctor Association, both spoke.
The league was one of the Greater Bay Area cooperative development projects signed on Feb. 25 at the second Greater Bay Area Health Cooperation Conference. It was jointly established by the bone and joint team in JNU’s Orthopedic Diseases Institute; the department of Orthopedics and Traumatology of the University of Hong Kong; the laboratory of the Department of Orthopedic Surgery and Traumatology of the Faculty of Medicine of the Chinese University of Hong Kong; the Macao Medical Science and Technology Research Association; five advanced research institutes in Shenzhen of the Chinese Academy of Sciences; the 9+2 cluster cities, including Guangzhou, Shenzhen and Zhuhai; and relevant discipline units from hospitals above Class II Grade A.

Based on the principle of sharing resources, mutual complementarity, mutual benefit and coordinated development, said Cha Zhengang, president of the Founding Conference, the league will be committed to deepening communication and collaboration on osteoarticular diseases in the Greater Bay Area in clinics, teaching and research at different levels. It will provide more complete and convenient health services and contribute to building a first-class healthy Greater Bay Area.
The activity was held by Guangdong Medical Doctor Association and co-organized by its Association of Orthopedic Surgeons, the Fast Track Surgery Group and the JNU Orthopedic Diseases Institute.
