Gen. Adam Yousif, consul general of Sudan in Guangzhou, visited JNU on Jan. 21 to discuss strengthening cultural and educational exchanges with JNU Vice President Zhang Hong.

Yousif said he hoped to advance the Sudan-JNU partnership, serve as a link between the University of Khartoum and JNU, promote academic exchanges and cooperation, and establish a cooperative partnership.

Responding favorably to Yousif's proposals, Zhang said JNU attached great importance to cooperation and exchanges with universities and scientific research institutions in countries along the Belt and Road. He said the university hoped to give full play to Sudan's rich natural resources, as well as promote exchanges and interaction with University of Khartoum in teacher-student interaction and scientific research cooperation.
