JNU's Xp0int team won second place and 50,000 yuan in the final round of the third National University Cybersecurity Association (X-NUCA 2018) at Shenzhen University from Dec. 4 to 7. It was selected into the finals by standing out from 333 teams representing 227 higher education institutions in the online group.

The finals were staged at the Cyber Range of Institute of Information Engineering, which offered a practical environment with 300 network targets. The Cyber Range is equipped with self-controlled targets and several integrated functions, including data isolation and protection, behavior collection and inspection, and 3D demonstration, ensuring the competition's stability, reliability and fairness.

Prof. Wei Linfeng, Xp0oint's supervisor and senior engineer in JNU's College of Cyber Security, was invited to the broadcast booth to share his experience in cultivating talents for cyber security innovation, selecting the team's members and hosting national cyber security competitions. The final round was live-streamed on Panda TV. During his talk, Prof. Wei also interacted with viewers online, answering question about cyber security.
