The Alliance Francaise de France (AFF) and JNU officially signed the constitution of the JNU Alliance Française de Canton (AFC) on Dec. 5, establishing AFC after a year of preparation. JNU Vice President Zhang Hong met with the AFF delegation and signed the constitution.
In attendance were Siv-Leng Chhuor, the French consul-general Guangzhou; Thierry Lasserre, chief representative of AF Foundation in China; Fabien Pacory, French foreign trade adviser, board member and head of business strategy and operations; Alexandre Beaudoux, associate financial consul, and board member and head of business strategy and operations; and AFC Director Christophe Dreyer.
Founded in 1883, AFF is a nonprofit French-language training, educational and cultural organization. It has more than 50,000 members at 14 locations in China, including Beijing, Shanghai and Nanjing. French President Emmanuel Macron is its honorary chairman, and Lasserre is its honorary chancellor in China.

AFC is a brand new practice for Sino-foreign cooperative education, helping JNU build an international and high-level university and develop the education and scientific cooperation with France.
