JNU and Quantum Hi-Tech (China) Biological Co., Ltd., known as Quantum Bio, held the signing ceremony on Dec. 7for a partnership agreement centering on health care and related industries. The two sides will develop cooperation in such areas as scientific research, talent exchange and pharmaceutical industrialization.
The ceremony was attended by Zeng Xianwei, director and CEO of Quantum Bio; Zhang Jianhao, director of Quantum Bio and ChemPartner as well as vice president of Quantum Medical; JNU Vice President Hong An; and Lin Man, deputy director of JNU's Office of Science Research and Development and president of the General Institute of Local Research.

Hong introduced the construction of medicine-related disciplines and local medicine services. She said JNU's key disciplines, including pharmacy, biomedicine and medicine, had a high degree of cooperation with the development of quantum bio-industry. She also said this cooperation had broad prospects and strategic significance.
Speaking on behalf of Quantum Bio, Zeng said the company had been shouldering the responsibility for serving all of society since its establishment. Starting from probiotics research, the company has developed three business divisions -- Quantum Hi-Tech (China) Biological Ltd., Chem Partner, and Quantum Hi-Tech Microecological Medical (Guangdong) Co. Ltd. -- through years of growth, making it a leading enterprise in global health industry innovation. Zeng expressed the wish to make the most of JNU talents and innovations in biotechnology and medicine. In addition, both sides can establish long-term cooperation in gene therapy and research and development of antibodies with JNU, connecting the professionals, customers, capital, scientific research, applications and services. He also said the company hoped to promote sustainable development of the Guangdong economy and society and seek good for human health by actively participating in the Healthy China 2030 strategic program.
