At the 73rd Distinguished Scholars Forum of JNU's International Business School on Nov. 27, Prof. Kazuyuki Motohashi of the University of Tokyo's Faculty of Engineering lectured on Empirical Innovation Studies on China: Data and Issue. Dr. Qian Gangyi of the International Business School presided, and teachers and students in the school attended.
Kazuyuki is an internationally renowned expert on technology innovation and management. He is a visiting researcher at the Walter H. Shorenstein Asia-Pacific Research Center at Stanford University in California. In addition, he is the associate editor of Research Policy, an authoritative international academic journal on innovation studies with a remarkably high Impact Factor of 6.265. He has achieved fruitful research results in Asian technological innovation systems and strategy.

In his lecture, he shared empirical innovation research based on the China's basic situation. China was chosen for this research, he explained, for the characteristics of its geography, economy, politics and national conditions. He described the impact of China's economic system on innovation and the country' regional diversity. At the end, he used Shenzhen as an example to elaborate on the specific research on innovation.
