To spread Chinese traditional culture around the entire world as encouraged by General Secretary Xi Jinping, JNU's Library held its 2018 Overseas Chinese Culture Week from Nov. 15 to 21.
The theme was Overseas Education and Overseas Chinese Culture. It combined JNU's geographical advantages as part of the largest hometown of overseas Chinese in Guangdong, and it vigorously propagated and promoted the culture of overseas Chinese. It hosts academic lectures, a documentary exhibition of overseas Chinese education, and a visit of overseas Chinese Jiangmen culture. It also hosts many other activities and present the overseas culture in an all-around way.

Overseas Chinese Culture Week is the Overseas Chinese Literature Museum's annual brand event in November. The first one was held in 2017 with the theme The Maritime Silk Road and Overseas Chinese. Teachers and students are widely involved. As a co-organizer of this year's Cultural Week, the Institute of International Relations/Overseas Chinese Institute gave strong support.
