JNU was named College of the Year and its students won the largest number of awards at the 2018 One Show China, an international advertising competition in Shanghai, on Nov. 15.
Advertising majors from the School of Journalism and Communication won one Customer Choice award, five silver medals, three bronze medals and five Excellent Idea awards. College of Humanities advertising majors reaped one gold, two silver and three bronze medals and two Excellent Idea awards. Prize-winners also included students from the International School and the Colleges of Arts and Liberal Arts.

Teacher representatives from the Department of Advertising in the School of Journalism and Communication were invited to the ceremony to accept the College of the Year award.
One Show China, part of the international competition launched by The One Club for Creativity, is a competition for college students and young professionals under 28. Since its launch in China in 2000, the competition and related activities have influenced creative advertising and education circles in China. It has now grown into the most influential annual creative competition for young people at colleges and universities.
