JNU Science Park was among the 35 institutions on the list of 2018 national science and technology incubators published on Nov. 8 by the Guangdong Department of Science and Technology. The listing, recognizing the stages of achievements in the construction of JNU Science Park, will provide a better platform for transforming school scientific and technological achievements, as well as the cultivation of innovative and entrepreneurial talents.

An important part of the national innovation system, incubators for science and technology enterprises promote transformation of scientific and technological achievements, and develop high-technology and new technology enterprises. China encourages the development of these incubators. Property and land leased to the national and provincial incubators are exempt from urban land use tax. Income earned by providing services for the incubators is exempt from value-added tax.

The Guangzhou municipal government awarded each national science and technology incubator one million yuan.
