Minvydas Kazys Ragulskis, an honored guest professor at JNU from the Lithuanian Academy of Science, visited the School of Electrical Engineering and Information Technology (SEEI) on Oct. 10, meeting with Vice President Liu Jiesheng; Cao Lijun, deputy director of the Campuses Management Committee; and faculty members from SEEI and the Party and Government Affairs Offices.

Liu said JNU would pay close attention to the construction of a high-level talents team. He said he would be glad to receive advice from Ragulskis on the development of the industrial engineering discipline to play a bigger role in the construction of double-top-class universities and also in the long-term cooperation of both academies.
Ragulskis highly praised the working platform and research environment of JNU and its Zhuhai campus. After giving an introduction to the scientific research achievements during the two universities' cooperation, he said he would cherish this opportunity and devoted himself to talent training and the development of relevant disciplines.
Ragulskis is an academician at the Lithuanian Academy of Science; a full professor in the School of Mathematical Modeling at Kaunas Technological University (KTU); a doctoral supervisor; a member of KTU's board of regents; an expert group member of the European Commission's Horizon 2020 program; an official expert of the Lithuanian National Medal of Science; an invited expert of the European Commission's Brussels Research Performing Institutions; an official expert of the Lithuanian Research Council; and chief editor of SCI Journal of Vibroengineering.
