On behalf of KWG Property Holdings Ltd., Kong Jianmin, its chairman and a JNU board member, has donated 20 million RMB to JNU to help JNU's construction and development, celebrating the 112th anniversary of JNU's founding, the 60th anniversary of its reconstruction and the 40th anniversary of its reestablishment in Guangzhou. The donation ceremony was held at JNU on Sept. 27. In Kong's honor, the scientific research building on the Panyu campus has been named the Jianmin Building.

Lin Rupeng, JNU party secretary and vice president, said KWG, as an outstanding domestic enterprise, actively supported the establishment of national public welfare, contributing to education, poverty alleviation, disaster relief and construction of municipal infrastructure. Kong is a distinguished alumnus of JNU who majored in computer science, graduating in 1989. He previously donated 10 million RMB.

Kong said supporting education is not only the government's responsibility, but also a duty shared by the whole society.
Formally established in 2017, KWG has made great contributions to education. It is actively building an all-around integrated education industry layout and an innovative education ecosystem that is comprehensively cultivated inside and outside schools.

This signing of a strategic cooperation agreement and the opening of Jianmin Building contribute to the development trend in economy and education under the development plan of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Greater Bay Area, ushering in a new chapter of friendship and cooperation between KWG and JNU.
