The Jinan University-University of Birmingham Joint Institute (JNU-UOB) welcomed its second cohort of freshmen on Sept.9. JNU-NOB is the first Sino-foreign joint educational institute at JNU, and its orientation for this year's 196 freshmen was a very special mix of Chinese and English cultures.

To improve parents' understanding of JNU-UOB and implement the idea of cultivating students by both JNU-UOB and home, a high tea was given for freshmen's parents on JNU's Panyu campus on Sept. 10. More than 300 parents from 10 provinces attended.

We organized the high tea to assure parents of confidence in JNU-UOB and their children, a teacher said. We also hope parents can support and help their children study and grow up in JNU-UOB.
