Two young JNU teachers representing Guangdong won prizes in the fourth National Young Teachers Teaching Contest at Zhejiang Normal University from Aug. 27 to 31. Tian Ming of the School of Marxism Studies won first prize in the ideology and politics group, and Li Wenjing of the School of Management took second prize in the humanities group.
Sponsored by the National Committee of Educational, Scientific, Cultural, Health and Sports Workers' Union of All-China Federation of Trade Unions, the contest attracted 129 participants from 105 universities in 31 provinces, districts and municipalities and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps.
Tian and Li previously won first prize in the fourth Young Teachers Teaching Contests of Guangdong and the May-First Labor Medal, qualifying them to participate in the National Young Teachers Teaching Contest on behalf of Guangdong.

The contest focuses on forging young teachers' teaching ability, strengthening their morals and building ethics, playing a leading role in improving the quality of teachers nationwide. Established in 2001, the contest has now been held four times and JNU achieved excellent results in all previous contests.
