JNU Vice Presidents Liu Jiesheng and Ye Wencai led 15 research teams with a total of 24 team leaders to Zhuhai Campus on June 15 for inspection, and chaired the related meetings. The research teams inspected the scientific and technological innovation park under construction on JNU's Zhuhai Campus, and to learn about its current status, spatial layout and future development.

The teams said they would speed up discipline construction and strengthen its connection with industry by combining the advantages and characteristics of the discipline to achieve practical use of research results. Prof. Liao Huaxin, an expert from the Thousand Talents Plan, strongly affirmed the bright prospects of cooperation between schools and cities in cultivating industry-university-research achievements. He said he hoped more team would help enhance JNU's influence in the Pearl River Delta.

The delegation included the directors of JNU's Faculty of Medical Science, College of Pharmacy, School of Environment, Institute of Photonics Technology, Biomedical Translational Research Institute, Institute of Advanced-Wear and Corrosion-Resistant and Functional Materials, Research Center on Herbal Prescription-Syndrome, Economic Research Institute on Special Economic Zone, Big Data Decision Institute, Institute of Green and Low-Carbon Development, Prof. Liao Huaxin's Research Team on the Construction and Application of Humanized and Antibody New Drug, Team on Coordination and Supramolecular Chemistry, Team on Applying Stem Cells in Precision Medicine, Team on Research and Application of Precision Medicine, and Team on Metamaterials and 3D printing. The inspection covers a wide range of fields, including materials in medicine, economics, mechanics, chemistry, biomedicine and optoelectronics.
