JNU President Song Xianzhong led a delegation on June 21 and 22 to visit members of JNU's directorate, including Vice Chairmen Tan Tieniu, Huo Zhenhuan and Yu Guochun; Deputy Secretary Chen Yongqi; and three directors Li Lu, Dai Defeng and Li Xiuheng. Then the delegation attended activities including Li Xiuheng's photographic exhibition and outstanding JNU students’ visit to Hong Kong. It also held discussions with representatives of the JNU Alumni Association (Hong Kong) .

Song expressed warm thanks for the support and assistance given to JNU by the Liaison Office of the Central People's Government and all members of JNU’s directorate. In discussions, he reported on teaching, research, discipline construction, talent training, Double First-Rate Subjects and the construction of a high-level university. The directorate strongly affirmed JNU's achievements and exchanged views with Song on how to promote the construction of Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Greater Bay Area and the Belt and Road; strengthen exchanges and cooperation with various sectors in Hong Kong; and improve the quality of talents training.

Song invited the directors to participate in the activities in The 60th Anniversary of Reestablishment and the 40th Anniversary of Reconstruction of JNU in Guangzhou this November.
