Jinan University held the 2018  Internet Plus Undergraduate Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition and the finals of JNU trials of the 7th Win in Guangzhou Undergraduate Entrepreneurship Competition at the Academic Report Hall on Shipai Campus on June 7.

The project “Goodsure — A Broker Inter-Mediation Platform Based on Financial Technology won first prize. Its business now covers 20 cities in seven provinces, with assets businesses including small creditors' rights, small loans, equity investment, original industry research and new media traffic. It has a 600-member ground promotion team.

Other projects included Independent Musicians Need Attention and a Million People Need Music, a We Media story about ballads that has attracted 680 million readers; a smart handheld spectrograph based on cloud data on food safety that can achieve one-key modeling; an engineering program on deep purification of indoor polluted air, featuring short wait time, easy operation and no dead zones; an environmental safety monitoring system in the modern tramcar, developed in cooperation with China National Automobile Corporation, that has obtained 200,000 RMB in financing; and the Rixi education project to provide services to high school graduates.

(Representatives from eight JNU schools and colleges -- the School of Management, the Electrical and Information College,  Shenzhen Tourism College, the School of Humanities, the International Business School, the School of Journalism and Communication, the College of Information Science and Technology, and the College of Science and Engineering -- accepting the Outstanding Team Award.)

This competition officially started in April with the theme Shaping the future by technology and innovation. It received applications from 150 teams totaling nearly 800 participants. Nine innovation teams, five start-up teams and one growth team qualified for the finals.
