The donation and unveiling ceremony of JNU's Aoyuan Building was held in the Guangzhou Aoyuan Mansion on June 1. Guo Ziwen, president of the Aoyuan Group's board of directors and a JNU alumnus, donated 10 million yuan to JNU's construction and development. In honor of his gift, the College of Life Science and Technology building on JNU's Shipai campus was named the Aoyuan Building.

JNU Party Secretary Lin Rupeng noted that for many years the Auyuan Group has actively taken up its social responsibility, donating a total of about 900 million yuan for public welfare such as charity, education, sports and health. Guo has always cared for and supported JNU’s construction and development and donated money to JNU, Lin said.

As a JNU alumnus, Guo said, he cares about JNU's development. He said he hoped this gift would contribute to talent education, scientific research and innovation. He said he also hoped to work with JNU to promote education development in China.

At the donation ceremony, on behalf of JNU, Song accepted the donation check and presented Guo with the donation certificate and a souvenir. Then Song awarded Guo with a letter of appointment as guest professor. Afterward, they unveiled the nameplate of AoYuan Building together.
