The JNU Labor Union organized events celebrating Women's Day on March 9, with around 50 female staff members participating in the activities. Rao Min, JNU vice president and Labor Union chairman, gave a welcome speech. Jin Hui, dean of the Art School at South China Agriculture University, was also invited to lecture.

Representing JNU leaders, Rao extended warmest greetings to all of JNU’s female staff members. She said JNU's staff is more than 50% women, who play important roles in the university's development. She expressed her wish that female staff members could strive to be talents with knowledge, skills and innovative ideas; serve a new era and new targets; and work on the core task of helping JNU progress.

Jin spoke on Elegant Women's Dress Tips. Her design team showed some of the clothes they had designed. After her speech, the female staff members visited an exhibition center and a museum in the Pan Yu District to understand the local culture.

Rao and some female staff members inaugurated the JNU female staff training and reading center in the JNU Labor Union that day.
