This Young Faculty Career Award competition was judged by peer reviewers online and joint conference reviewers from the foundation’s councils and counselors. This 16th Education Awarding honors 100 people with Young Faculty Career Awards (5 first prizes, 15 second prizes and 80 third prizes).
The Fok Ying Tung Education Foundation was co-founded by the Ministry of Education and Dr. Henry Fok Ying Tung, a well-known Hong Kong entrepreneur who donated 100 million HKD in 1986. The Young Faculty Career Award was set up to finance and reward teachers under 35 who have made outstanding achievements in teaching and research. It is presented every two years.
Two other JNU teachers, Chen Tianfeng from the College of Chemistry and Material Science and Wang Chunchao from the College of Economics, received the 14th and 15th awards in 2014 and 2016, respectively. JNU teachers have been honored three times consecutively.
