Accounting teachers from JNU's school of management, leaded by President Song Xianzhong, have been selected for the first round of the National Outstanding Teachers Team, according to a notice published by the Ministry of Education. A total of 201 teams from 200 universities nationwide are included.

The activity aims to guide teachers to learn from the model teacher Huang Danian, a Jilin University professor and an outstanding model teacher and geophysicist, to educate students, disregard fame and fortune, and be devoted to team construction. The goals are to form long-term mechanism and education system of respecting model teachers, and to make striving for advancement the norm.

Under the continuous construction of President Song Xianzhong and successive directors of the accounting department, the accounting teachers' team from the School of Management has already become a competent team with brilliant traditions. This team currently has three national accounting masters, seven national accounting leading (reserve) talents, one teacher of higher education from Guangdong, one Young Pearl River Scholar from Guangdong, two top 10 teachers of JNU, and young and middle-aged backbones of teaching and research in accounting, financial management and auditing.
