The signing and donation ceremony of the Becky Li Startup Fund and the launch ceremony of the ninth JNU China College Students' Entrepreneurs Competition (CCSEC) were held on Dec. 14. Li, a JNU alumna who is general manager of the Becky Li Media Co., Ltd., donated 500,000 yuan to set up the fund, partly for JNU to hold CCSEC and participate in the provincial and national competitions, and partly to sponsor and honor students from the School of Journalism and Communication. Li and JNU Vice President Rao Min spoke at the ceremony.
Li said she had established the fund to encourage and help more students start their own businesses and achieve their dreams in JNU.
At the ceremony, the Jinan University Education and Development Fund signed the donation agreement with Becky Li Media Co., Ltd. Rao presented Li with the donation certificate.

Rao, Li and Hong Kong student Chen Jiarui, an outstanding young entrepreneur, jointly initiated the ninth CCSEC, which includes competitions in entrepreneurial planning, entrepreneurial practice and social entrepreneurship, all at school and university levels. The final, to be held in March, aims to give an overall review of the students' achievements in innovation and entrepreneurship and to prepare them the provincial and national competitions.

Li, who graduated from the School of Journalism and Communication, was chief reporter of Southern Metropolis Daily. She now manages Becky's Fantasy, a WeChat official account. With 5 million followers on the Internet, she has a great influence on fields including fashion, beauty products, home furnishings and even cars.
