Li Kai, a distinguished professor in JNU's Information Science and Technology School/College of Cyberspace Security and a leading talent of Guangdong, was named a foreign academician of Chinese Engineering Academy on Nov.30.
The academy's title of academician is the highest academic title in engineering and technology in China and is held for life. In 2017, the academy has named 67 new academicians, 18 of them foreigners.

Li is a professor at Princeton University in the United States, an academician of American Engineering Academy, an ACM Fellow, an IEEE Fellow and an expert in the Thousand Talents Program of the Organization Department of the Communist Party of China's Central Committee. In April 2011, Li was hired as a distinguished professor in JNU's Information Science and Technology School/College of Cyberspace Security. In 2012, as a distinguished professor in JNU's Information Science and Technology School, Li successfully applied for the title of Guangdong leading talent.

Li has led JNU's scientific research team and made great achievements in key technological breakthroughs, system development, talent training and social services.
