The final of the 15th Challenge Cup, a national competition in collegiate academic science and technology works, was held at Shanghai University from Nov. 15 to 18.
All six of JNU's entries won awards: one first prize, four second prizes, one third prize and one progressive innovation award. JNU's total score ranked second in Guangdong and 28th in the country. JNU continued to be one of joint universities to hold the competition, reaching a new high.
More than 2 million students from more than 2,000 universities in the country have participated in school-level competitions since the launch of the Challenge Cup” this year. After provincial competitions, national preliminary assessment and review, 755 works from 314 colleges and universities were selected for the finals.

The Challenge Cup, held every two years, was sponsored by the central committee of the Communist Youth League, the China Association for Science and Technology, the Ministry of Education, the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, and the national and provincial governments. It is known as a contemporary Olympics for university students in science and technology innovation.
