In the 62th National General Programs List published by the China Postdoctoral Science Foundation on Nov. 13, JNU had 41 postdoctoral general programs approved and ranked 17th in the country. It is another significant scientific breakthrough after the National Natural Science Fund of China approved 49 JNU programs and the National Social Science Fund of China approved 6 this year.
JNU has paid close attention to postdoctoral recruiting and cultivation since it implemented comprehensively deepening reforms, a policy published by government, the number and cultivation quality of recruits has greatly improved. JNU's postdoctoral researchers are a major force in scientific research; 41 of the current 91 are funded by the China Postdoctoral Science Foundation -- a funding rate of 45%, compared to the national average of 25%.
The China Postdoctoral Science Foundation funds researchers in postdoctoral centers to do scientific research, promoting those with innovation abilities and potential to do innovation research and establish a team of postdoctoral talents with interdisciplinary, strategic characteristics.
