Xinhua News Agency, BEIJING -- I intend to stay in the mainland for further study after graduation so that I can witness and participate in the development of China, said Lin Zigan, a Hong Kong student in the Department of Politics in the School of International Relations at Renmin University of China. Lin said he hopes to have more time to experience, practice and work in different places in the motherland. As long as I keep an active learning attitude, I will certainly find my own opportunity when the country is developing.

Zhang Yating, a Macao student majoring in business administration at Tsinghua University, said, Compared with Macao, the mainland offers more opportunities for us to acquire more knowledge and skills. Originally she planned to return to Macao for a job right after graduation, but she has changed her mind and will now seek a job in the mainland. If she goes back to Macao someday, Zhang said, she would still prefers to work in communication between Hong Kong/Macao and the mainland, especially in talent exchange.

Liu Qiwen, a Hong Kong student at Jinan University's School of Law, is an intern at a Guangzhou law firm. I don't have strong competitiveness now, so I’m choosing further study, she said. Since Liu is also interested in creative visual design, she has decided to pursue a master’s degree in new media. I hope my parents will come to Guangzhou to live with me when I start working, she said.

Hong Kong student Xie Junming is majoring in civil engineering at JNU. His parents want him to work in Macao after graduation. But Xie said he believes that the mainland’s economy is developing rapidly, and he would like to work in the mainland if he has an opportunity.
Shi Jiazu, a senior majoring in business administration in JNU's Management School, comes from Hong Kong and is applying for overseas study. He plans to study logistics management abroad and hopes to introduce advanced management concepts from developed countries to aid in China's development.
